Open
Letters
This section of the
Web site allows classmates to post letter-like messages,
reminiscences, comments, suggestions, etc. for all to
read. As such, it is an open forum for communication by
and to all classmates that goes a step beyond sending
out individually addressed e-mail or postal mail.
This site is available to
anyone with an internet connection, so to prevent
non-class members from abusing this open forum you must
send your "letters" to the Web site staff via e-mail
(preferred) or postal mail where their authenticity will
be verified before being posted on the Web site. This
will cause a slight delay in the posting, but it will
eliminate non-classmate material.
If the nature of your
"letter" is likely to be controversial or personal,
please use the postal address list on this site or the
e-mail list available on request to all class members to
specifically target your recipients. No anonymous
"letters" will be posted. This open forum is not the
place to get involved in any fifty year old feuds.
Letters received in
electronic format (Microsoft Word, .rtf, or html please)
will be placed into the Web page as text. Letters
arriving by postal mail will be scanned and placed on
the Web page as a graphic. If the nature of your
letter is such that it requires photos or graphics to
convey its message, such graphics or photos will be
displayed with your "letter" as a thumbnail. Clicking on
the thumbnail will provide a full-screen view of the
picture or graphic. You might have to use the Back button
on your browser to return from a full-screen image to
the thumbnail.
If you want to post a
letter on this page, please review the submittal format
information page by clicking on the Submissions button
on the left.
To read the posted
letters, click on a button below. Clicking the
return button at the end of the letter will bring you
back to this set of buttons.
