Form
and Style
This Web site is powered
by Lunar Pages Web hosting and utilizes Microsoft
FrontPage software. Consequently, any input from
classmates is preferred in Microsoft compatible format,
but most Macintosh input will work. If all else fails,
everyone should be able to provide internet standard
HTML format for any inputs. If all the above was
unintelligible to you, don’t worry about it. These
things usually take care of themselves or can be cleared
up with a telephone call or a letter.
The Web site has been
designed with ease of use as the highest priority. Each
page provides a quick link (just click on the button) to
the Web site’s Home page with its links to the major
features of the site, making it easy to navigate from
one topic to the other. If you find a link that doesn’t
take you where it’s supposed to go or just doesn’t work,
please let us know so we can fix it.
Since we are desperate
for input from classmates, we will take your inputs in
any form we can get them. However, to the best of our
(the Web site staff) ability, we will utilize standard
(American) English as defined by Webster’s Unabridged
Dictionary. Grammatical rules will try to follow The
Chicago Manual of Style, 15th Edition. If our departure
from these standards is egregious, notify the Web site
staff so we can fix it. We want to reflect favorably on
what most classmates look-on as a first-rate high school
education—certainly by today’s standards.
As you have probably
noted already, a decision has been made to use the
editorial "we" throughout the Web site. This is a matter
of convenience, since it is difficult to write around
not using it and because the material could be prepared
by any of the staff—no bylines. We hope this doesn’t
offend any journalistic purists.
